Etailer items

So what are etailers?

Etailer are mom and pop type of companies, that do not have actual stores (usually) and just online stores.
Everything is made after the customer places the order, usually handmade from scratch. Therefore, everything is fresh and made just for you. Etailer also have dozens, sometimes hundreds of scents, including "dupes" (interpretations of more popular scents, such as American Cream by LUSH, Flowerbomb, Aquolina's Pink Sugar....and so on).
Etailers will also usually make your own custom scent - American cream mixed with Pink Sugar for example.

They are a great alternative to retail, such as Bath and Body Works, or The Body Shop.

The drawback to etailers is that you can't smell or try things before you order them, you also have to wait for the goodies to come, since they are shipped. Also there are some shady etailers, who do not respond when you email them, take your money and never send you your products, or send you products way later than they said they will.

There are etailers for Make-up (fyrinnae, alima, meow cosmetics) and there's lots and lots of bath and body etailer (Luna Bleu, Grumpy Girl, Isle of Eden, Pink Bath Bow Boutique, Cleanse your soul, JoJoelle,  - and these are just some of which I tired, there are thousands more).

So all of February and some of January I worked on using up my Pink Flower Scents (PFS) stash and I used them all up - I had many perfume sample sprays so they went by fast...I will also do a review and post pics of my PFS stuff soon.

This month, I am focusing on my Grunpy Girl (GG) stuff:
I have a soap bar, scrub, whipped soap, a spray, massage bar sample and 2 perfumes.

I really like GG, they have cute names for their products (at least I think so) and I like their labels, and the font they use on their labels.
Their customer service is also good, they respond quickly and ship their orders fairly quick too. I will definitely order from them again, especially if they have a sale.

They also have some LUSH dupes, such as the Rockstar scent.

Today I used my Buttercreme Sugar scrub in Hollywood Sex Kitten and I loved it.
Very, very scrubby, more so than LB or Sugarcandie scrubs, but left my skin soo so soft and silky.
I wish the tub was bigger, it says it weighs 8.5oz, but I feel like I am going to go through it like crazy.

In terms of the scent - this is how GG described it:

Sultry notes of white flowers, soft sensual musk and powdery violets make this a must have. (A LUSHious Duplication. Scent is light and delicate by nature due to the scent formulation.)

I smell a little bit of musk and a tiny bit of flowers, nothing too strong.
I am not sure what scent this is from LUSH, but it is ok, I might repurchase or not...kinda on the fence about it, but I'll see about I try it a couple more times.

So that's it for now, stay tuned for my other GG products. I will also try to do pics and a full review.

I'm trying to use up my etailer stash - so hopefully every month I can move on to another etailer from my stash.

Eating Well, Toning up ...New Year, New You

Here are some cool things I discovered:

http://www.dailysqueeze.ca/fitness/year

It has a 4 week eating plan, which seems doable. It gives you lots of choices for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, including snacks.

And it also has an exercise plan with 3 circuits. It includes pictures, and instructions.

I am thinking of trying it, at least the exercise part, I am really bad at keeping up with a meal plan. I wish I could, but it never works out.

If you try it, let me know how it goes.

My party

So I had my party last night (I posted the menu for it a couple days ago) and it went really well.
For a Wednesday night party, it was quite the party. There was some beer pong, drinking Jenga....loads of food, I cooked and my friends brought things in. Lots of drinks....my friend let me borrow his speakers so we had some music playing...

Overall I was quite happy, and I had a lot of fun.

Afterwards, I was really tired because I pulled an all-nighter doing a Regression stats assignment, so I didn't eat properly or sleep in the last 36hours, ....it was brutal I will admit.

So after the party, I went to lie down (with the intention of getting up in 5 minutes to brush my teeth and wash my face and change into my pjs), and I passed out in my clothes, with my make-up and everything. I haven't done this in so long...I wasn't even drunk (lol).
I woke up around 7:30 because my phone was jabbing me in the ribs, lovely.
I was soo soo tired, and I slept pretty well so today I am up and active.

My Used it Up list

So starting last year, I started making a use it up list for a couple reasons:
  • I wanted to track my progress (lol) of how much am I using my things up
  • I wanted to make sure I am using things and not rebuying 5 of the same things without using them up first
  • I wanted to make goals to use more things
  • ...and that's about it unless I am forgetting thing
So here is my January use it up list
It have everything from Make-up, bath and body, tarts, hair, skin care, samples, etc.

I woul this was a great month, usually I use up between 15-20 things (around half of that is samples)...my goal was 25, and I definetly surpassed my goal.

I really like doing this, it helps me realize what I have in my stash and also makes me keep it organized so I can keep track of what I am using.
Plus it feels soo great when you finish things, it feels like you accomplished a task.

Let me know if you do this also,

My Chanel experience

I really like Chanel, especially the perfumes (Chance is my fave), so when the opportunity came to get my make-up done at Chanel by a pro make-up artist from Montreal, I jumped all over that.

I rescheduled my stuff, and drove downtown, knowing I won't have an easy time finding parking.

Well I got there, the make-up artist was really nice and hot (cute blue eyes, very nice face) and he seemed to know what he was doing, while not being pushy at all. I really liked him, we even chatted about life and everything.

He cleaned my face off the MU I was wearing, and applied serum and lotion, then he went on to put foundation.

It was Vitalumiere, and I really wanted to try it, so it was great that he was using it. He applied a little blush (tweed rose) and some bronzer, very natural look.
On my eyes, he applied an ivory shadow, a purple eyeliner and purple mascara
On my lips - peach liner, gloss #51

Final look - and I wish I could have taken a pic...
The foundation and concealers looked horrible, there was too much on and it just stayed on top of my skin and creased around my mouth and nose and eye, it didn't seem blended in (even though he spent time blending)...it was not pretty all. I was really surprised because I thought he was doing great.

I did love my eyes and my lips, it was combos I don't usually do and it was a fresh change. I might get the purple eyeliner or the mascara. Although the mascara did clump and flake before I was even done...maybe it was old..=(

I asked him if I just wanted to buy one item, what should I get? He said the foundation...I couldn't even believed it, it looked so bad, I would have bought anything else over that. I got a sample and I am going to try it at home and see how it goes. I hope it goes a lot better, otherwise I am going to be sad.

I went to MAC afterward, and I sprayed some Fix + to try and fix it, or blend it in, or make it better and no amount of Fix + could fix that mess.

So yea...Let me know your experiences, Chanel or otherwise.

xoxo,

E.
